Working alongside the talented marketing and communications team in-house, collaborating and creating some bright and fun new recruitment pieces targeted at high school graduates. A redesign of the Transit Future bus that goes on location for province wide events. A Victoria specific tourism targeted campaign to increase day use ridership and visit the local attractions. As well as brainstorming some colourful ways to use our image bank and secondary colour palette in the yearly riders guides that are created for each community across BC.
The goal was to elevate an Alberta wide medical billing services brand by updating the logo, web presence and promotional materials. This was achieved by reinventing the client’s brand to accurately convey the high level professional service, confidence in timeliness and accuracy they offer to their robust range of clients throughout Alberta.
A limestone and paving company based out of Perth, Australia. They were looking to start from scratch, logo development right up to a responsive website. Content had to be created as well as developing some promotional cards and decals to help get their name out there.
The Celebration keeps going...and growing. Westerner Park's 2012 Annual Report theme of celebration is exhibited from front cover right to the back financials. The "Westerner" brand is one of pride in Central Alberta, this report is a collection of the year's events and achievements.
Focus Design Group's client also needed a generic folder and some supporting promo pieces to celebrate the launch of their updated logo/brand in the year of 2011. A fun tent card with the year's events was created as a folded handout at the launch.

Every year Quinn gears up to hire anywhere from 500 to over 1,000 new employees for maintenance and turnaround in the Oil Field sector. To advertise recruitment we attend trade shows, compose email and social media blasts, and produce a range of print and apparel pieces. A Recruitment Video was the outcome of a week long video shoot on site.
An ambitious commercial builder in Chauvin, Alberta came looking for everything from the logo to a responsive website. His company had already made it big and he wanted the collateral to match. Updates to the site are preformed whenever new properties are available for purchase.
Based in Red Deer, Alberta, Blueliner Vac Services Ltd. is a full-service vacuum truck provider to oilfield, industrial / commercial, and residential customers in the province of Alberta. A logo to get started along with carbon copy forms and a one-pager. I developed a brand guide to give the client freedom to aquire promotions as needed.
Quinformation is an internally focused company magazine published quarterly. It's aimed at sharing employee and company achievements, stories and updates. Each issue strives to focus on hardworking employees and their contributions to what makes the Quinn brand so unique.
Lion & Light is a wedded duo who creates and sells custom home accessories. Barn wood, or any kind of wood, you name it, they can probably make it. They needed a secondary logo / monogram that could be used as a branding iron for all the custom wood pieces. Clean, rustic, and vintage was the direction.
The Convocation Ceremony program includes each graduating students name as well as the top achievers, message from the President and history on RDC's traditions. Along with the program, invites and day-of signage were created to achieve a cohesive event look. In 2012 the invites and program cover used a soft touch coating, giving a warm contrast to the silver and grey theme.
The City of Red Deer has many campaign tactics that they use throughout the year to promote events and programs. Working with the large and talented internal communications department at the city, their briefs/strategies are combined with design to help each internal client achieve their project goals.
Red Deer College produces an annual set of printed promo pieces to entice students and community to come out to their games and events. For the athletics season a poster, seasons passes, pocket brochure, magnet, and a game day program featuring each athlete are produced.
Alma Mater Select, RDC Alumni Wine, is available at many local wine stores. These wines were chosen carefully by a select panel and voted as the favorites. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold benefit our student scholarships program. The labels are intended to attract a higher quality wine connoisseur and give an element of prestige. Silver foil was used to add some eye catching sheen.
Side note; a dream job of mine is to work for a winery, creating artful labels and designs!
Quinn is the plant and facilities maintenance, turnaround and capital projects contractor of choice for clients in the industrial sector. A video DVD cover, sales catalogue, and general folder are a strong suit of branded items that compliment the recruitment pieces.
Focus Design Group's client, Mountain View Credit Union, promotes their new mortgage rates annually with a campaign. Pieces included billboards, branch posters, LED screens, as well as online and print ads.
